BEIJING: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-Dec 23rd, 2025) Chinese tennis player Peng Renlong has been handed a 12-year ban and fined $110,000 for his involvement in a match-fixing scandal, the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) confirmed on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old admitted to fixing five matches at lower-tier events and acknowledged offering other players the opportunity to manipulate 11 additional matches, six of which were fixed.

The match-fixing activities occurred between May and September 2024, spanning several ITF tournaments held in Turkey, Hong Kong and China.

The ITIA has not disclosed the specific matches involved but emphasized that strict measures are being taken to uphold integrity in the sport.
