PFF says decision marks beginning of a new era for national women’s side, as players will now have opportunity to compete in structured international fixtures
KARACHI: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-Dec 10th, 2025) In a landmark development for the sport, the Pakistan women’s football team has been included in the FIFA Series for the first time, the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) confirmed on Wednesday.
The PFF said that FIFA has formally approved Pakistan’s participation, terming it a recognition of the rapid progress women’s football has made in the country.
The federation said the decision marks the beginning of a new era for the national women’s side, as the players will now have the opportunity to compete in structured international fixtures.
The FIFA Women’s Series is scheduled to be held in March and April 2026, with the inaugural events taking place in Brazil, Ivory Coast and Thailand.
The PFF added that the grouping and full schedule for the women’s FIFA Series are expected to be announced in early 2026.
