ISPR DG Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry says a single individual became a threat to Pakistan’s national security, and no one would be allowed to incite the public against the armed forces
ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-Dec 5th, 2025) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry on Friday said that a single individual became a threat to Pakistan’s national security, and no one would be allowed to incite the public against the armed forces.
Lt Gen Chaudhry said the ambitions of this person have grown beyond the State itself.
“His ego and desires are such that he believes if I am not there, nothing else should exist. His narrative has now become a threat to Pakistan’s national security. Politics has ended, and his rhetoric poses a danger to the State,” said Lt Gen Chaudhry in a press conference in Rawalpindi on Friday.
He stressed that the Pakistan Army does not represent any political party, region, religion, sect, or ideology. “We do not come from an elite class; we belong to the middle class. If anyone attacks the army or its leadership for personal reasons or misguided thinking, it will not be tolerated. We respect all political parties, but they must keep the army out of politics. No one will be allowed to create a rift between the public and the armed forces,” he said.
Lt Gen Chaudhry further said that inciting the public against the military would not be tolerated.
“This army is the shield of the country. It stands between mischief-mongers, India, and the people to protect Pakistan,” he added.
During the press briefing, a video was shown claiming that social media accounts of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are being handled from Afghanistan and India. The DG ISPR also presented a video statement of Aleema Khan in which she was speaking to Indian media.
Lt Gen Chaudhry criticised Indian media for broadcasting anti-army statements and asked who provides these narratives.
“The same party and the same people speak against Pakistan’s armed forces. Look at the social media accounts of this party—where the tweets originate and who amplifies them. All of this is shown in the video,” he said.
