Police say unknown armed attackers targeted a police vehicle near Flour Mills on Miranshah Road in Bannu while attackers also took weapons from injured police personnel
BANNU: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-Dec 2nd, 2025) At least four people including the Assistant Commissioner of North Waziristan Shah Waliullah were killed in an armed attack in Bannu, the officials confirmed on Tuesday.
The police said that the unknown armed attackers targeted a police vehicle near Flour Mills on Miranshah Road in Bannu. The attackers also took weapons from the injured police personnel.
Initially, police reported that three people, including two officers, were killed and two police personnel were injured in the attack.
The Assistant Commissioner of Bannu confirmed that the vehicle of the North Waziristan AC was attacked, resulting in the deaths of Shah Waliullah and two police officers. One driver and two police personnel were also injured in the firing.
The local authorities confirmed that the assailants managed to seize weapons from the police officers during the attack.
