Rescue teams and ambulances reached site within minutes, and shifted injured to Lady Reading Hospital (LRH)
PESHAWAR: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-Nov 24th, 2025) A suicide attack on the Frontier Constabulary (FC) Headquarters in Peshawar on Monday morning left three FC personnel martyred and two others injured, while all three attackers were killed in a swift security operation.
The officials said that the assault began when a suicide bomber detonated himself at the main gate of the FC Headquarters in the Saddar area. Following the explosion, two armed attackers attempted to enter the premises but were immediately engaged by security forces and shot dead.
Rescue teams and ambulances reached the site within minutes, and shifted the injured to Lady Reading Hospital (LRH). Medical officials confirmed receiving 11 injured persons — including FC personnel and civilians — all of whom are reported to be in stable condition. The hospital declared an emergency to manage the influx.
Earlier, SP Cantt had said that law-enforcement agencies cordoned off the entire area shortly after the blast, calling in additional police, Elite Force units and other security teams. Traffic was completely suspended on Cantt Road and surrounding areas as clearance operations began. The BRT service in Peshawar was also temporarily suspended.
CCPO Peshawar, Muhammad Saeed, who is leading the operation, confirmed that heavy police contingents were deployed at the scene and that a full-scale clearance operation was underway.
Later, the Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police stated that three terrorists had carried out the attack and all had been neutralised. Security sources said the attackers, belonging to the “fitna-e-khawarij” group, had attempted the assault around 8am.
Following the attack, the area was sealed and security forces launched a thorough sweep of the vicinity.
