Javelin Thrower expresses gratitude for winning another gold for Pakistan and says he has been working tirelessly to regain full fitness following his recent surgery
RIYADH: (UrduPoint/ Pakistan’s top javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem secured the gold medal at the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with a throw of 83.05 metres, marking another significant achievement for the country.
Speaking after his victory, Arshad expressed gratitude for winning another gold for Pakistan and said he has been working tirelessly to regain full fitness following his recent surgery. He added that he remains motivated and aims to achieve further success in upcoming international competitions, stating that “the hunger to win is still alive.”
Fellow Pakistani athlete Mohammad Yasir claimed the silver medal with a throw of 76.04 metres, while Nigeria’s Samuel Adams Cure took the bronze.
The Islamic Solidarity Games 2025, hosted in Riyadh, have brought together top athletes from across the Muslim world to compete in various sporting events.
