SEAP challenges firing of top officials as dispute with PIA disrupts flight operations.
LAHORE: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Nov,7, 2025) The Society of Aircraft Engineers of Pakistan (SEAP) has decided to challenge in court the termination of its president and general secretary by the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) management.
According to details, the PIA administration recently dismissed both SEAP officials, prompting the engineers’ association to term the action unjust and unlawful, announcing plans for legal proceedings against the decision.
The dispute between PIA management and the aircraft engineers has intensified, leading to a partial disruption of flight operations.
SEAP members have been on strike for several days, protesting against the non-payment of salary increases and allowances, which they say have been pending for months.
