Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to chair PPP CEC meeting in Karachi to decide party stance on proposed 27th Constitutional Amendment at Bilawal House in Karachi
ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Nov,6 , 2025) The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will hold its Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting today at 7 p.m. under the chairmanship of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at Bilawal House, Karachi.
According to party sources, the meeting will review the overall political situation in the country and discuss the government’s outreach regarding the proposed 27th Constitutional Amendment.
The draft amendment reportedly includes provisions for the establishment of a constitutional court, restoration of executive magistrates, authority to transfer judges, removal of provincial protection in the NFC Award, and amendments to Article 243.
It also proposes returning education and population planning powers to the federation and resolving the ongoing deadlock over appointments to the Election Commission.
Sources added that a delegation of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has sought the PPP’s support for the amendment’s passage. The PPP CEC is expected to finalize the party’s official policy on the proposed 27th Amendment during today’s meeting.
