Airline clears EU audit; license valid until 2028 for UK and Europe flights.
ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Oct,30, 2025) Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has cleared the European Union cargo audit and secured a renewed license from the EU cargo operations auditing body, OGADA.
The OGADA team conducted audits at Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad airports, with full cooperation from Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority led by the Director of Aviation Security.
Following this success, PIA CEO Aamir Hayat and the DG Civil Aviation Authority have been informed. The renewed license allows PIA to carry cargo along with passengers on flights to the UK and Europe.
According to sources, the EU cargo license has been renewed until 2028. PIA already holds a separate cargo license for the UK.
