PMD says strong winds likely; no threat to Pakistan’s coastal areas.
KARACHI: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Oct,30, 2025) The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather forecast for the next three days, citing a pressure system over the central Arabian Sea.
According to the PMD’s Early Warning System, strong winds may blow in Karachi today and tomorrow, with wind direction remaining northwesterly toward Tharparkar. The city’s maximum temperature is expected to reach 35°C today and up to 36°C over the next two days.
The department stated that hot and dry weather is expected across Karachi and the rest of Sindh during this period.
As per the ninth sea watch advisory, the pressure system over the central Arabian Sea is located about 786 kilometers from Karachi and 400 kilometers from Gujarat, India. The system has moved westward over the past 24 hours and is likely to continue moving in the same direction.
Under its influence, light rain or drizzle may occur at a few places in Tharparkar district, though there is currently no threat to any coastal area of Pakistan.
