Maryam Aurangzeb says 90% survey completed; compensation begins in 13 districts.
LAHORE: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Oct,30, 2025) Punjab Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb has announced that a total of Rs6.39 billion has been distributed under the Chief Minister’s Flood Rehabilitation Program.
Speaking to the media in Lahore, the minister said that 90 percent of the flood assessment survey under the Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has been completed. She added that data of 569,000 flood-affected individuals has been compiled, while details of 463,000 victims have been verified through deputy commissioners to ensure transparency.
The provincial minister further stated that over 98,000 ATM cards have been prepared for compensation payments, and 37 camp sites have been established across 27 flood-affected districts. Compensation distribution began on October 20 in 13 of these districts.
Maryam Aurangzeb said the remaining districts will begin receiving compensation from November 3. Each flood-affected family will receive Rs50,000 in cash along with an ATM card, allowing them to withdraw up to Rs300,000 daily from the Bank of Punjab ATMs.
