Pakistan and Turkiye are considering the launch of a ferry service between the two countries to boost maritime connectivity and trade.

The proposal came under discussion during a meeting between Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry and Turkish Minister for Transport, where both sides agreed to enhance cooperation in shipbuilding, marine operations, and shipbreaking.

Minister Junaid Anwar Chaudhry invited Turkish investors to explore investment opportunities in Gwadar, Pakistan’s emerging port city. In response, the Turkish side assured that a delegation of investors would visit Pakistan soon to discuss potential projects.

Officials said the planned ferry service could open new avenues for tourism and bilateral trade, strengthening maritime collaboration between Pakistan and Turkiye.
