PM Shehbaz chairs key meeting to discuss TLP ban, economy, and Afghanistan situation.
ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Oct,23, 2025) The Federal cabinet is scheduled to hold a crucial meeting today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, with discussions expected on the proposal to ban Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP).
According to sources, the Ministry of Interior will brief the cabinet in detail regarding the developments and recommendations related to TLP.
The meeting, chaired by the Prime Minister, will also deliberate on the country’s current economic and political situation. In addition, the post-ceasefire developments with Afghanistan will come under review, while the Defence Minister is expected to brief the cabinet on the recently signed agreement with Afghanistan.
The cabinet is also likely to approve decisions made earlier by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) and the Cabinet Committee on Legislative Cases.
