Pakistan’s Test squad reduced to 16 players after left-arm spinner Faisal Akram and pacer Aamir Jamal were excluded ahead of the home Test series against South Africa, starting Sunday in Lahore.

Pakistan has decided to drop left-arm spinner Faisal Akram and fast bowler Aamir Jamal from the Test squad ahead of the upcoming series against South Africa.
Following the changes, the national Test squad will now comprise 16 players. The selected players include Captain Shan Masood, Abdullah Shafique, Abrar Ahmed, Asif Afridi, Babar Azam, Hasan Ali, Imam-ul-Haq, and Kamran Ghulam.
Other members of the squad are Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Rizwan, Nauman Ali, Rohail Nazir, Sajid Khan, Salman Ali Agha, Saud Shakeel, and Shaheen Afridi.
The first Test of the two-match series between Pakistan and South Africa will begin on Sunday at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
