Pakistani rupee strengthens slightly against US dollar in interbank market
KARACHI: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 31st, 2025) pakistan stock exchange (psx) on Thursday witnessed a strong bullish trend as the benchmark KSE-100 index soared past the 139,000 mark once again.
Simultaneously, the Pakistani rupee strengthened slightly against the US Dollar in the interbank market.
On the fourth business day of the week, the trading session opened on a highly positive note with the KSE-100 index recording a gain of 1,456 points. As a result, the index climbed to 139,869 points during early trading.
The previous day, the index had closed at 138,383 points at the end of the trading session.
Adding to the positive sentiment, the exchange rate of the U.S. dollar also saw a slight decline. According to the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP), the interbank rate for the dollar dropped by 10 paisas, bringing it down to Rs. 282.85 from Rs. 283.
The market analysts attributed the rally to improved investor confidence driven by economic optimism, stable monetary indicators, and favorable developments in Currency exchange.
