KARACHI: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 30th, 2025) The International cricket Council (ICC) has released its latest T20 International rankings, with several Pakistani players seeing significant changes following the recent three-match T20 series against Bangladesh.
Young Pakistani batters Sahibzada Farhan and Hasan Nawaz have made impressive strides in the ICC rankings after standout performances in the series. Farhan jumped 69 places in the batters’ rankings, breaking into the top 100 for the first time. He now holds the 97th position with 389 points.
Middle-order batter Hasan Nawaz also climbed 14 spots and now shares the 54th position with South African power-hitter David Miller, both standing at 500 points.

However, Pakistan's senior batters witnessed a downturn. Star players Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan dropped to 14th and 16th positions, respectively. Mohammad Haris faced the most significant drop, slipping 15 spots to 65th, while Fakhar Zaman fell two positions to 81st.
On the global front, India’s Abhishek Sharma has surged to the top of the T20 batting rankings, overtaking Australia’s Travis Head. Another Indian batter, Tilak Varma, now sits at third place.
In bowling, no Pakistani player features in the top 20. Fast bowlers Abbas Afridi and Haris Rauf dropped two places each, now ranked 24th and 26th, respectively. Shaheen Shah Afridi improved slightly to 35th position.
Spinner Abrar Ahmed slipped two places to 51st, while vice-captain Shadab Khan also dropped two spots, landing at 67th.
New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy remains at the top of the T20 bowling rankings, followed by England’s Adil Rashid in second and India’s Varun Chakravarthy in third.
