PTI founder says his sons Qasim and Suleman have every right to raise their voices for their father's release
RAWALPINDI: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 24th, 2025) Former Prime Minister and founding chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan on Thursday said that his sons Qasim and Suleman have every right to raise their voices for their father's release. His statement was conveyed to the media by his sister, Aleema Khan, during a press briefing outside Adiala Jail.
Aleema Khan told reporters that the hearing of the Toshakhana-II case was held today inside Adiala Jail, but the PTI legal team and family were informed about it only at midnight. “Only two lawyers were allowed inside today, while family members and the media were barred from entry. We waited for four and a half hours at the jail gate,” she said.
Aleema revealed that Imran Khan is being subjected to inhumane conditions in detention. “He told his lawyer that he is kept in a cell for 22 hours a day. His access to newspapers, books, and television has been cut off, although he was provided with one book today,” she claimed.
The PTI founder, according to Aleema, has expressed serious concern over the rule of law in the country. “He said there is no law or martial law in place — everything is happening on the orders of one individual. He further said that the justice system in Pakistan has collapsed, the judiciary’s independence has been destroyed, and court orders are being openly violated.”
Imran Khan also reportedly described the current ruling coalition as a “dacoit and duffer alliance” and criticized the government's actions against political opponents.
Calling for immediate action, Aleema Khan demanded transparency regarding the alleged inhumane treatment of her brother in custody.
She also disclosed that Imran Khan has directed senior PTI leaders, including Ali Amin Gandapur, Barrister Gohar Khan, and Salman Akram Raja, to launch a full-fledged movement in response to the ongoing political and judicial crisis.
