Pakistan’s T20 captain says if he was not a cricketer, he would have been a businessman
LAHORE: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 11th, 2025) Pakistan’s T20 captain Salman Ali Agha on Friday offered a lighthearted take on his teammates' personalities, casting them in imaginary film roles during a casual segment shared by the Pakistan cricket board (PCB).
In the video, Salman was asked who he would choose for different roles if he were to make a movie starring cricketers. With a smile, he named Babar Azam as the hero, saying, “Babar has the grace and presence of a film hero.”
For the villain’s role, Salman picked pacer Haris Rauf, saying his fierce persona would make him perfect for the part. He added that Hasan Ali would be a natural comedian while Abdullah Shafique, with his calm demeanor, would be ideal for the role of a heartbroken lover.
Fakhar Zaman, according to Salman, has the talent to take on the role of a singer.
Salman also spoke about what he might have pursued had he not become a professional cricketer, stating, “If I weren’t a cricketer, I would have been a businessman.” He jokingly added that if he were granted a magical power, he would make all social media platforms disappear.
Revealing a lesser-known talent, Salman shared his passion for poetry.
“I can write good poetry,” he said before reciting one of his verses: “Muntazir mere zawal ke hain, mere apne bhi kamaal ke hain,”.
("Even my own await my downfall — that’s how remarkable they are.")
The development offered the fans a glimpse into the witty and artistic side of the national T20 skipper.
