PM Shehbaz, Turkish President Erdogan, Azerbaijan President Aliyev take a walk in Khankendi

Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev briefed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan about the history of Khankendi and its historical buildings

BAKU: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 5th, 2025) Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev took a walk in Khankendi following Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) summit.

The President of Azerbaijan briefed the Prime Minister and the Turkish President about the history of Khankendi and its historical buildings.

The three leaders engaged in informal and cordial conversation.

During the walk, the three leaders held hands as a gesture of the exemplary fraternal relations and solidarity among Pakistan, Türkiye and Azerbaijan.

Later, President Ilham Aliyev personally drove the Prime Minister to Shusha for a luncheon.

Just a day before, Pakistan and Azerbaijan signed an agreement for investment worth two billion Dollars in diverse sectors of Pakistan's economy.

The agreement was signed by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Azerbaijan's Minister for Economy Mikayil Jabbarov in Khankendi, Azerbaijan, after a cordial bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The Azeri President and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif witnessed the signing ceremony while the final and detailed agreement will be signed during the Azeri President's visit to Pakistan.

The agreement will take investment and trade relations between the two countries to a historic level and will prove to be a catalyst for further promotion of their brotherly relations and strengthening of trade partnership.
