ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-June 16th, 2025) Pakistan’s star athlete Arshad Nadeem has been named in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list for 2024, following his groundbreaking performance at the Paris Olympics where he secured the country’s first-ever gold medal in an individual sport.
The 28-year-old javelin thrower stunned the world with a throw of 92.97 meters, earning him the gold medal in the Paris Olympics 2024. Forbes praised his feat as a “stunning show,” recognizing both the athletic excellence and the historical significance of the achievement. His victory ended a decades-long Olympic gold drought for Pakistan and placed him among the global elite in track and field.
In recognition of his Olympic success, Arshad received over Rs153 million in cash awards from the Punjab and Sindh governments. The country celebrated his victory with national pride—naming a road in Islamabad after him and issuing a commemorative postage stamp through Pakistan Post on the occasion of Independence Day.
