No Pakistani cricketer in ICC T20 top 10 as new rankings announced

Pakistan’s prominent batters Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan experience a dip in their rankings

DUBAI: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-June 4th, 2025) The International cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest T20 player rankings, with no Pakistani cricketer managing to secure a position in the top ten.

Australia's Travis Head currently tops the rankings, followed by Abhishek Sharma of India in second place and Phil Salt of England in third.

Pakistan’s prominent batters Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have both experienced a dip in their rankings. Babar has slipped three places to 12th position, while Rizwan has dropped one spot to 13th.

Despite the absence of top 10 representation, some Pakistani players have made notable gains. Mohammad Haris, the wicketkeeper-batter, has surged an impressive 210 positions to claim the 30th spot. Similarly, Hasan Nawaz has climbed 57 places and now sits at 46th.

Emerging talent Saim Ayub moved up four positions to rank 61st, while national team captain Salman Ali Agha has risen 42 spots to reach 76th.
