Weather Update: Rain thunderstorms with Gusty winds Expected in Islamabad, isolated areas

Predominantly hot and humid conditions are predicted across much of the country.

ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 15th, 2024) The weather forecast for the next 12 hours on Monday indicated predominantly hot and humid conditions across much of the country.

However, rain and thunderstorms accompanied by windstorms and gusty winds are anticipated in isolated areas including upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Pothohar region, Islamabad, northeastern Punjab, northeast and southern Balochistan, southeastern Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir.

Morning temperatures recorded in major cities were as follows:

Islamabad and Muzaffarabad: 23°C

Lahore: 28°C

Karachi: 31°C

Peshawar: 29°C

Quetta: 24°C

Gilgit and Murree: 18°C

In the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir region, the forecast predicts partly cloudy weather with the possibility of rain, wind, and thunderstorms in Srinagar, Jammu, Shopian, and Baramulla, while Leh, Pulwama, and Anantnag are expected to experience partly cloudy and dry conditions.

Srinagar, Pulwama, and Anantnag: 18°C

Jammu: 26°C

Leh: 12°C

Shopian and Baramulla: 17°C
