Sofia, July (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 23 يوليو 2026ء) In a statement, Bulgaria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: "The announcement of an intention to impose a maritime blockade on the Bab Al-Mandab Strait represents an unacceptable escalation, given the serious risks it poses of broadening the conflict and threatening regional security, international trade, and the global economy."
The Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the need to guarantee and respect freedom of navigation, including through the Bab Al-Mandab Strait, without exception and in full accordance with the provisions of international law, including the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
The ministry also called for the exercise of the utmost restraint and for immediate de-escalation, urging all parties to refrain from taking any actions that could further endanger maritime security or widen the conflict in the region.
