Riyadh, August (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 27 أغسطس 2025ء) He emphasized that the law represents a significant step within the broader regulatory and legislative reforms underway under Saudi Vision 2030. It aims to standardize and streamline procedures for expropriating and temporarily possessing real estate in a transparent manner that serves the public interest. It also ensures fair compensation for both property owners and project developers.
SPGA Governor Dr. Abdulrehman Al-Harkan also expressed his appreciation to the leadership for the approval of the law. He underscored that the law safeguards the rights of both property owners and project developers through its comprehensive provisions.
He stated that the law provides a unified framework for organizing, supervising, and overseeing real estate expropriation and temporary possession. Requests for such actions will be submitted to a dedicated committee within the SPGA, with participation from representatives of relevant government entities. The law also stipulates that necessary funding must be secured before initiating any procedures. Moreover, efforts must first be made to identify state-owned properties that meet project requirements before moving forward with expropriation.
