The Secretary-General also praised Australia's role in supporting peace and stability and promoting international cooperation. He welcomed Australia's decision to move towards recognizing the State of Palestine during the United Nations General Assembly meetings in September, in line with international efforts to find a just settlement to the Palestinian cause.
Moreover, both sides emphasized the importance of developing economic, commercial, and educational cooperation between the GCC and Australia. They also exchanged views on current regional and international events.
