MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 19th September, 2019) Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his German counterpart Heiko Maas discussed in phone talks on Thursday the ways to implement the decisions of previous Normandy Four summits regarding the implementation of the so-called the "Steinmeier formula" for conflict-hit eastern Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Ministry said."The ministers continued to discuss ways to implement the decisions of the summits in Paris and Berlin in 2015-2016 in the Normandy Four format regarding the consolidation of the Steinmeier formula, as well as the separation of forces and assets at the pilot sites in Petrivske and Zolote," the ministry said in a statement.
According to the statement, the sides also discussed the situation around the breakdown of Contact Group talks in Minsk on Wednesday regarding the coordination of proposals agreed by advisers to Normandy Four leaders at a meeting earlier in September.
