MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 10th June, 2019) Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov said Monday he welcomed the court ruling to release on parole the head of the Chechen branch of the Memorial human rights center, Oyub Titiyev.The court in the town of Shali in the Russian North Caucasus republic granted the parole application for Titiyev earlier in the day. The human rights activist will be released June 21.
"I welcome this ruling... The punishment should pursue the goal... of correcting a person," Kadyrov wrote on Telegram.
