MOSCOW, June 7 (Sputnik) - RT and Sputnik Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan said on Friday that she was released from hospital following an incident with a supporter of Russian opposition figure Alexei Navalny at the Echo of Moscow radio station.

"I have been just discharged from hospital with this diagnosis [a risk of late miscarriage]. I received intravenous fluids and was under strict medical control. Many thanks to the doctors [who treated me]," she tweeted.

Simonyan added that she had complaints neither against the radio station, not its editor-in-chief Alexey Venediktov.

"I have no personal complaints against Echo [of Moscow] and Venediktov. The Echo staff were supportive, they called an ambulance and quickly changed the broadcast," she added.

The incident in question took place on Thursday. Lubov Sobol, a supporter of Russian opposition figure Alexey Navalny, followed Simonyan with a camera at the radio station, where the RT and Sputnik editor-in-chief had come for an interview. Sobol asked Simonyan questions about Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

Following the incident, Simonyan was taken to the hospital. On Friday morning, she was still receiving intravenous fluids at a hospital.

In the meantime, Venediktov, the editor-in-chief of Echo of Moscow, apologized to Simonyan after the incident and wished her a speedy recovery. The radio station editor-in-chief added he was sorry for the failed expectations of listeners who wanted to listen to a show featuring Simonyan.
