MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 07th June, 2019) At least two people were killed and 37 others were wounded due to a strong storm that hit Kailali and Kanchanpur districts in the southwest of Nepal, media reported, citing officials, on Friday.
Prem Kumar Rai, a secretary at the Home Affairs Ministry, told the Republica Online news outlet that search and rescue operations were underway, adding that the number of those affected by the disaster might increase.
"The local administration has already been involved in rescue operations ... Exact details of the damage caused by the storm have yet to be determined," Rai said.
Yagya Raj Bohara, the chief officer at the Kailali district, has said that those wounded were hospitalized.
