ST.PETERSBURG (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 06th June, 2019) Venezuelan Vice President Tareck El Aissami denied on Thursday that his country needed more Russian weapons or loans to buy them.
"No, we do not need them [weapons] at the moment. We are working to strengthen our defense systems," El Aissami said on the sidelines of the St.Petersburg International Economic Forum.
He said that Venezuela's "defense industry project" had guaranteed Venezuelan and Russian financing, stressing these were their common funds.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum began earlier on Thursday and will run through Saturday. Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency is its official media partner.
