LJUBLJANA (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 29th May, 2019) The recent special forces operation in Kosovo will have a serious impact on the relations between Belgrade and Pristina, Slovenian Foreign Minister Miro Cerar said Wednesday.
The operation was launched early on Tuesday. Several people were injured, including a journalist and two UN mission members, one of whom is a Russian citizen.
"Yesterday, an operation linked to proceedings against organized crime was held, and not just in Kosovo. This operation will have serious consequences for the relations between Kosovo and Serbia and other regions," Cerar said after a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
"Given that we all strive for stability, for a dialogue with Kosovo, one should behave very carefully, avoid such situations when the stability in the region may be threatened. And the operations of this kind may have consequences that we did not want," Cerar said.
