Fawad Chaudhry’s lunar calendar not on cabinet meeting agenda

Until the cabinet approval, nothing can be said about the announcement of Eid.

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 28th May, 2019) Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair a meeting of Federal cabinet today, Tuesday, to discuss four-point agenda.

All ministers will brief the premier about performance of their ministries and departments about their assets. The prime minister will also review implementation on cabinet decisions of so far.

However, the lunar calendar prepared by Minister for Science and Technology Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has not been included in the four-point agenda.

Fawad Chaudhry has finally come up with a five-year lunar calendar to end the moon sighting controversies once and for all.

The Lunar Calendar prepared with the help of experts includes the important dates from 2019 till 2024.

According to this lunar calendar, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on June 5 while Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated on August 12 this year.

The calendar will, however, be approved by the federal cabinet.

Until the cabinet approval, nothing can be said about the announcement of Eid.

Fawad Chaudhry said the government was committed to launch the mobile application developed for moon sighting soon.

Talking to a private news channel, he said conspiracies are being hatched to not develop Pakistan with modern technological equipments, application of moon sighting and others.

The minister said every possible measures had been taken by the Ministry of Science and Technology for the promotion and projection of technology in the country.
