Ali Mohammad Mahar was suffering from cardiac disease for a long time. He died of heart attack on Tuesday.
Family sources said that Ali Mohammad Mahar was under treatment in hospital since last night. He died in the hospital after his heart stopped.
Prime Minister Imran Khan and other politicians expressed sorrow over his sad demise and extended condolences.
Ali Mohammad Mahar has served as Sindh chief minister from 2002 to 2004. The politician contested from his hometown constituency NA-205 of Ghotki.
He joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) after his victory and became a cabinet member in September, 2018.
