Renowned journalist Imran Khan has claimed in his tweet that Asad Umar can be appointed as the information minister.

The prime minister has called Asad Umar for a meeting today. Asad Umar will meet Imran Khan at Prime Minister Office today at 4pm to discuss about giving him a cabinet position.

Former Finance Minister Asad Umar on April 18 announced to quit his portfolio of finance minister, expressing firm commitment to continue working for materializing the dream of prosperous 'Naya Pakistan' under the leadership of Imran Khan.
According to some sources, Imran Khan is even ready to give Asad Umar any ministry of his choice. He has also offered him Petroleum Ministry but Asad Umar has been persistent to not take any cabinet position.
Now there are reports that he can be appointed as information minister.
In the cabinet reshuffle of April 18, Fawad Chaudhry was removed as the information minister and Firdous Ashiq Awan was appointed as the new advisor to prime minister on information.
