Evacuation Of Passengers From SSJ100 Plane At Sheremetyevo Took 55 Seconds - Aeroflot

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 06th May, 2019) The evacuation of passengers from the Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) aircraft belonging to the Russian flagship carrier Aeroflot has taken 55 seconds, what is ahead of the regulatory standard of 90 seconds, Aeroflot's spokesman Maksim Fetisov said on Sunday.

"The evacuation of passengers took 55 seconds with a standard of 90 seconds, " Fetisov told the Rossiya 24 broadcaster.

The SSJ100, which was performing a flight from Moscow to Murmansk, had to make an emergency landing earlier in the day at the Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport due to the fire on board, which ultimately burnt down the aircraft. Thirteen people, including two children, were killed, while� several people were injured, according to the Russian Investigative Committee. Aeroflot confirmed that the fire had been extinguished.
