Oman Sees Need To Extend OPEC-Non-OPEC Oil Output Cut Deal Beyond June - Oil Minister

DOHA (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 02nd May, 2019) Omani Oil Minister Mohammed Rumhi said on Wednesday that he considered it necessary to extend the OPEC-non-OPEC oil output cut deal beyond its current expiration date in June.

"I do not know about the rest, but it's important for us to extend the OPEC-non-OPEC deal beyond June. We need a balanced market, and now we have managed to achieve this, we need to continue this," Rumhi said.

He did not specify for how long Oman would like to extend the deal.

The minister added that he saw no need to fear possible slump in oil prices.
