Russia's Atomexpo 2019 Forum Attended by Representatives of 74 Countries - Rosatom CEO

The 11th annual forum Atomexpo 2019, which began earlier on Monday in the Russian city of Sochi, is bringing together more than 3,500 delegates, Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev said at the opening ceremony on Monday, adding that the current event saw a new high in terms of the number of foreign participants

SOCHI (Russia) (Pakistan Point news / Sputnik - 15th April, 2019) The 11th annual forum Atomexpo 2019, which began earlier on Monday in the Russian city of Sochi, is bringing together more than 3,500 delegates, Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev said at the opening ceremony on Monday, adding that the current event saw a new high in terms of the number of foreign participants.

According to Likhachev, over 1,500 foreign participants from 74 countries are taking part in the event.

"That is six [countries] more than last year," Likhachev said.

The Rosatom CEO added that participants to the forum would discuss modern technologies that would shape the future of the planet.

The Atomexpo 2019 international forum, organized by Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom, will last through Tuesday. The heads of leading companies of the industry, government officials and experts from across the world will discuss the state of the nuclear industry, as well as the trends of its further development.
