Federal Aviation Authority Creating Review Body To Ensure Boeing 737 MAX Safety - Reports

WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 04th April, 2019) The US Federal Aviation Administration is setting up a new technical review body organization to ensure the safety of Boeing's controversial 737 MAX aircraft, US media reported.

The Federal Aviation Administration announced on Wednesday that it was creating a new Joint Authorities Technical Review to ensure the safety of the airliner, CNBC reported on Wednesday.

Two Boeing 737 MAX aircraft have crashed over the past six months, one in Ethiopia and the other in Indonesia, killing all 346 people on board both airplanes.

Following the deadly crash in Ethiopia that killed all 157 people on board last month, the Federal Aviation Administration grounded all Boeing 737 MAX series airplanes globally, citing safety issues.

Numerous countries have also banned the plane from entering their airspace, while the US Senate Commerce Committee has launched a probe in order to investigate links between inadequate training of aviation safety inspectors and the plane accidents.
