Over 900 Syrians Return Home From Jordan, Lebanon Over Past 24 Hours - Russian Military

A total of 928 Syrian refugees have returned to their home country from neighboring Jordan and Lebanon over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides and Refugee Migration Monitoring said on Wednesday

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 03rd April, 2019) A total of 928 Syrian refugees have returned to their home country from neighboring Jordan and Lebanon over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides and Refugee Migration Monitoring said on Wednesday.

"Over the past 24 hours, 928 refugees returned to the Syrian Arab Republic from the territory of foreign states, among them 209 people, including 63 women and 107 children, who left Lebanon for Syria via the Jaydet-Yabus and Talkalakh checkpoints, and 719 people, including 216 women and 367 children, who returned from Jordan via the Nassib checkpoint," the center said in its daily bulletin.

In addition, 68 internally displaced Syrians have returned to their homes over the given period, the center added.

Meanwhile, Syrian engineering units have removed mines from 2 hectares (4.9 acres) of land in the provinces of Damascus and Daraa, destroying 26 explosives, the center said.
