BEIJING (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 03rd April, 2019) Arken Imirbaki, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress, will visit Russia on April 8-12 to take part in the International Arctic Forum, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.
"At the invitation of the Russian Government, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Arken Imirbaki will visit Russia from April 8 to April 12 to participate in the fifth International Arctic Forum," the ministry's spokesman, Geng Shuang, said at a briefing.
The International Arctic Forum, first held in 2010, is the largest forum for discussing topical issues and prospects for the development of the Arctic region by international partners.
The fifth edition of the forum, dubbed "The Arctic: Territory of Dialogue," will be held in the Russian historic city of St.Petersburg on April 9-10.
