KARACHI (Pakistan Point News / NNI - 29th March, 2019) Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday said the federal government would fulfill the promises made to the people of Karachi."The ongoing projects from the federation in Karachi will be completed on time," PM Imran Khan said while talking to a delegation of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) here at the Governor House. Sindh Governor Imran Ismail was also present on this occasion.

He said soon a meeting of the MQM-P and the coordination committee would be convened. The premier said a housing scheme would soon be launched in Karachi as well."The centre will continue full cooperation for resolution of issues of the metropolis. All the political parties will have to make conducive environment for economic development and investment," he said adding that staging of the Pakistan Super League matches was a sign that Karachi was on the course of peace and progress.

Prime Minister Khan said the MQM-P was an important ally of the ruling party.The MQM-P delegation comprised of Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhter, Amir Khan, Nasreen Jalil and Kanwar Naveed.They apprised the PM about reservations of their party. They asked him to get implement the Karachi package for resolution of issues.Sources said the MQM-P also raised the issue of reopening of their offices and security of their party leaders.Amir Khan raised the issue of establishment of university in Hyderabad, the sources said.The Karachi mayor demanded from the federal government to cooperate in the Karachi Mass Transit System.
