TOKYO (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 12th March, 2019) The F-4 Phantom fighter belonging to the Japan Air Self-Defense Force has made an emergency landing at the Komatsu Air Base in the prefecture of Ishikawa, local media reported on Tuesday.
According to the Kyodo news agency, the fighter was conducting a flight over the East Sea, when it experienced a control system glitch.
Since the Komatsu Air Base shares a runway with civilian airport Komatsu, the accident resulted in minor delays of three civilian flights.
The reasons behind the accident are being established.
