Injured in the train fire in central Cairo, a source in the Egyptian Health Ministry told Sputnik Wednesday

CAIRO (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 27th February, 2019) At least 28 people were killed and over 50 were injured in the train fire in central Cairo, a source in the Egyptian Health Ministry told Sputnik Wednesday.

Media reported earlier in the day that the train derailed and crashed into a platform at the Ramses station. The crash caused the explosion of the fuel tank. Subsequent fire spread over the train and the platform.

"There are 28 dead and over 50 injured," the source said.
