MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 27th February, 2019) Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin may go to Cuba for an official visit in April, according to the statement by the lower house's international committee.
The lower house said that Russian State Duma international affairs committee chairman Leonid Slutsky and Cuban Ambassador Gerardo Penalver Portal had discussed Volodin's potential visit during their recent meeting.
"The parties discussed preparations for Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin's visit to Cuba in April. The Ambassador said that the visit will enhance inter-parliamentary cooperation and highlight the strategic level of our relations," the committee said.
