MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 13th February, 2019) Former Environment Minister Nicolas Hulot is France's most popular politician based on a thousand responses from the public, a poll has showed.Hulot was ranked first by the Ifop-Fiducial pollster after a survey on February 8-9, commissioned by two local outlets, Paris Match and Sud Radio. He enjoys the approval of 73 percent of those sampled.
French President Emmanuel Macron fared far worse, coming eighteenth. His performance is viewed favorably by 36 percent. His rating now matches that of Francois Hollande, his predecessor and most unpopular president in modern history.
Former conservative Prime Minister Alain Juppe was ranked second, with 56 percent of respondents saying they had an excellent or good opinion of him. Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian became the most popular minister of the ruling cabinet, finishing third with 49 percent.
