ANKARA (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 09th February, 2019) The fiancee of slain Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi on Friday urged US President Donald Trump to change his approach to the killing of her partner.Trump criticized the dissident's killing at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul last October but stopped short of blaming the crown prince, citing the monarchy's arms contract and deep bilateral ties.
"We would welcome it if he [Trump] took a new approach to this issue," Hatice Cengiz said at the presentation of her book about Khashoggi.
Cengiz refused last fall to go to Washington on Trump's invitation, saying he wanted to improve his public image. She later urged the US president to help her recover Khashoggi's body, believed to have been dismembered and buried in the consulate's vicinity.
