MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 04th February, 2019) London has recognized Juan Guaido as Venezuela's interim president after Caracas failed to announce snap presidential elections within the designated time, UK Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt said Monday.
"[Venezuela President] Nicolas Maduro has not called Presidential elections within 8 day limit we have set. So UK alongside European allies now recognises [Juan] Guaido as interim constitutional president until credible elections can be held. Let's hope this takes us closer to ending humanitarian crisis," Hunt tweeted.
