Ahmed Saya wins Cambridge University’s Most Dedicated Teacher award

The winner was chosen through a voting process.

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 3rd February, 2019) Pakistani teacher, Ahmed Saya, has won the ‘Most Dedicated Teacher’ Award given by Cambridge University.

Renowned Pakistani teacher Ahmed Saya made Pakistan proud as he was among the six nominations for the World's Most Dedicated Teacher Award.

Ahmed Saya teaches Accounts at the Cordoba School for A Level. Along with the award, Ahmed Saya has won a trip to Cambridge, UK, as well as Cambridge University Press opportunities for his school.

Other nominations for the award included Sri Lanka's Anthony Chelliah, Australia's Candice Green, Malaysia's Sharon Kong Foong, Philippines' Jimrey Dapin and India's Abhinandan Bhattacharya.

A panel of educational experts of Cambridge University Press shortlisted the Pakistani teacher for the award for his dedication in imparting knowledge to students.

"It was a tough decision for the judges but they have now decided on the six finalists for the Dedicated Teacher Awards 2019," Cambridge education tweeted.

The winner was chosen through a voting process.

According to the Cambridge University Press website, students from across the world were invited from October to December, 2018 to send in their nominations for who they consider the most dedicated teacher.

The voting for the award ended on January 27.
