Hamza Shahbaz leaves for London after being removed from ECL

The Lahore High Court on February 1 allowed Hamza Shahbaz to travel abroad, removing his name from the ECL.

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 3rd February, 2019) Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz has left for London after his name was removed from the Exit Control List (ECL).

Hamza Shahbaz will first land in Doha, Qatar.

The Lahore High Court on February 1 allowed Hamza Shahbaz to travel abroad, removing his name from the ECL. He has been granted a one-time exemption to travel abroad.

The LHC had passed the orders while hearing a petition by Hamza Shahbaz against including his name in black list.

Hamza Shehbaz Sharif on December 11, 2018 was barred by the immigration authorities to leave the country for pending cases in National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

According to Immigration sources at Allama Iqbal international Airport, the Opposition Leader in PA wanted to board a London-bound Qatar Airways flight along with his two friends.

On reaching the immigration counter, he was informed that Hamza Shehbaz's name was on the blacklist due to pending cases in the NAB.
