Pakistan approves 14 new air routes to UAE

In a letter sent to the Pakistani counter-part by the UAE official, he had requested Pakistan to approve 52 new air routes to Sharjah Sector in view of its aero-political needs.

Apart from this, six air routes from six cities of Pakistan were also demanded.

The UAE aviation authority had requested Pakistan to provide additional routes from Islamabad, Peshawar, Faisalabad, Multan and Sialkot. The CAA DG had requested providing 14 new air routes from Lahore and seven routes each from Faisalabad, Sialkot and Peshawar.

The UAE is already using seven air routes each of all four Pakistani cities for Sharjah Sector. The UAE had requested 10 additional routes with the current four routes to Islamabad. Therefore, the Pakistani Civil Aviation has approved only 14 routes.

Providing additional routes to Sharjah Sector from Lahore and other cities will bring economic and social benefits to Pakistan. Moreover, the aviation industry will get millions of rupees monthly with these routes.
